The Problem

The Installation
A UV lamp is a simple thing badly served by casual fitting. These are the details that decide whether it does anything.
If growth is already established, the coil is cleaned before the lamp goes in. Light does not remove what is already there.
Positioned so the lamp actually illuminates the coil face. Anything in shadow is untreated, so placement is the whole job.
Lamp output chosen for the coil size rather than fitting whatever is on the van.
Wired and switched so the lamp is isolated when the air handler is opened for service.
UV degrades some plastics and flexible components over time. Anything vulnerable in the light path gets accounted for.
