More and more customers ask us … “Which brands are 100% made in the U.S.A?” unfortunately the answer is . . . NONE.
Nonetheless, with Goodman, although some of its components are made overseas, they are still assembled in Houston Texas’ 525,000 sq. foot facility. Daikin (who purchased Goodman in 2012) is also integrating some production in the same Houston plant.
Goodman is known as one of the largest domestic manufactures of residential and light commercial HVAC products in the United States.
Daikin, on the other hand, is one of the largest HVAC manufacturers in the world, but before it acquired Goodman, had a scarce U.S. presence. Combined, the companies plan to be the No.1 residential, commercial and industrial HVAC player in America. Daikin North America now has three U.S. brands it manages: Daikin, which is being marketed as a high-end premium brand; Amana, which is a mid-range brand; and Goodman, which is a more cost-effective, lower-end brand.
