Air conditioning that has stopped, a system nearing the end of its life, humidity that will not come down, or a building full of rooftop units that need a plan. Advanced Cooling and Heating handles the whole HVAC system for homes and businesses across Palm Beach County and Southeast Florida.

What We Do
Advanced Cooling and Heating is a licensed Florida HVAC contractor (License #CAC057209), established in 1996 and headquartered in West Palm Beach. We repair, install, replace and maintain heating and cooling systems for homes and businesses throughout Palm Beach County and Southeast Florida — central air, heat pumps, ductless, commercial rooftop equipment, ductwork, controls and air quality.
HVAC equipment here works harder than almost anywhere in the country. The cooling season barely ends, so compressors and blowers accumulate runtime hours at a rate that shortens the useful life of a system well below the national averages the manufacturers quote. Coils stay wet for months at a time, which invites growth. Near the coast, salt gets into condenser fins and outdoor electrical connections.
That changes what good service looks like. A tune-up that would be annual up north needs doing twice a year here. Humidity control matters as much as temperature, and a system sized purely for peak heat will leave a house cool and clammy. And the repair-or-replace question arrives earlier, because ten Florida years is a great deal more wear than ten years somewhere with a real winter.
Cooling
The bulk of what we do. Whether the system has stopped entirely, is running without cooling, or has reached the point where repairs have become routine, this is where to start.
Diagnostics and repair for systems that have stopped, are blowing warm, are tripping the breaker or are short cycling. Emergency service available.
Load-calculated system replacement with permits and inspection, sized for the building as it is used now rather than matching whatever was there before.
Condenser, air handler and line set replaced together, so the matched equipment performs to its rating instead of being held back by one old component.
The most expensive single repair on a system, and the one where the replace-instead decision deserves a proper conversation before you commit.
Leaks located and sealed rather than topped up. Repeatedly adding refrigerant to a leaking system is expensive and it never fixes anything.
Evaporator and condenser coils cleaned properly. In this humidity a coated coil quietly loses capacity long before the system throws any kind of fault.
Scheduled service that catches failing capacitors, blocked drains and dirty coils while they are still cheap. Twice yearly is the Florida standard.
Service plans that schedule the visits for you, so the tune-up actually happens rather than being remembered in August.
The full air conditioning service list in one place, including the work that does not fit neatly into any of the categories above.
Heating & Ductless
Florida heating is mostly heat pumps, and a heat pump is an air conditioner that can run in reverse — so the cooling problems and the heating problems are usually the same problem. Ductless sits alongside, for the spaces central air was never run to.
Reversing valves, defrost boards, sensors and compressors. A heat pump that cools fine but will not heat usually has a fault specific to the reversing side.
Heat pump systems sized and installed for a climate where they spend the overwhelming majority of their hours cooling rather than heating.
Servicing that covers both modes, so the heating side is confirmed working before the first cold snap rather than discovered failed during it.
Repairs for heating systems and electric strip heat, including the units that sat unused for eleven months and refuse to start when finally asked.
Heating system installation and replacement matched to the property, without specifying capacity a Florida winter will never call on.
Single-zone and multi-zone systems for garages, additions, sunrooms and older houses with no ductwork — cooling one space without touching the rest.
The complete heating service list, covering repair, replacement and maintenance for every kind of heating equipment we work on.
Rooftop units, package equipment, air handlers and machine-room cooling for offices, retail, medical suites and multi-tenant buildings.
Financing options for system replacement, so an unexpected failure does not have to be paid for all at once.
Air, Ductwork & Controls
A surprising share of comfort complaints have nothing to do with the equipment. Restricted ducts, undersized returns, a thermostat in the wrong place, or moisture the system was never asked to remove — these are the causes that get missed when only the condenser gets looked at.
Duct inspection, repair, sealing and airflow balancing. Where a room has never cooled properly, this is usually where the answer is found.
Zone dampers, control panels and zone thermostats so one system can serve several independently controlled areas instead of averaging them.
Thermostat supply, replacement and setup, including correct siting — a thermostat in a draft or in afternoon sun misreports the whole house.
Whole-home dehumidification for properties where the air conditioning alone cannot hold humidity down, particularly in shoulder seasons.
Assessment and improvement of what is actually circulating — filtration, purification and moisture control considered together rather than separately.
Filtration systems matched to the equipment, because a filter too restrictive for the blower trades air quality for airflow and helps nobody.
Purification systems for properties with allergy, odour or biological growth concerns, specified around the system already installed.
Treatment aimed at the coil itself, where months of continuous condensation in Florida humidity make growth a recurring problem.
Made-to-size filters for older or non-standard air handlers where off-the-shelf sizes leave gaps around the edges and let air bypass entirely.
Who We Work For
The equipment overlaps but the priorities do not. A house needs to be comfortable and affordable to run. A business needs to stay open, and needs to know what next year’s HVAC spend looks like.
Emergency service available when the system fails at the worst possible moment, which is usually when it does.
Work scheduled around your trading hours wherever the job allows it.
How We Work
No work starts and nothing gets ordered until you have seen what we found and agreed the price in writing.
Tell us what the system is doing and how urgent it is. Emergencies get triaged first; everything else gets a scheduled slot.
A licensed technician tests the system properly — pressures, electrical, airflow and controls — rather than replacing the first suspect part.
We show you what we found and what it means, including the repair-or-replace numbers side by side where the system is old enough for that to matter.
Repair, installation or replacement carried out to Florida code, with permits and inspection where the scope requires them.
Performance confirmed in operation before we leave, and maintenance explained so the system keeps doing what it just started doing again.
Where We Work
We serve homes and businesses throughout Palm Beach County and the surrounding Southeast Florida communities, from the coastal properties where salt shortens equipment life to the inland developments west of the turnpike.
We provide full-service HVAC repair, installation, replacement, maintenance, emergency service, and system diagnostics for both residential and commercial properties in Palm Beach County and throughout Southeast Florida.
Yes. Emergency HVAC service is available for cooling and heating failures, particularly during peak demand periods when system failure impacts comfort and operations.
Yes. HVAC service contract Florida programs provide scheduled preventative inspections, documented performance validation, priority response, and long-term asset protection.
Emergency HVAC service for apartments is prioritized during peak summer months when cooling failures impact tenant safety and satisfaction. Fast response HVAC for property managers ensures rapid dispatch and resolution across multi-unit communities.
Financing may be available for AC replacement, heat pump installation, ductwork upgrades, dehumidification systems, indoor air quality systems, and major HVAC repairs. Eligibility depends on project scope and credit approval requirements.
From emergency AC repairs and refrigerant leak detection to full HVAC system replacement, ductwork installation, heat pump service, and indoor air quality solutions, our HVAC technicians are ready to respond.
If you are experiencing no cooling, system failure, electrical issues, or AC leaks, call now for priority dispatch at 561-697-4247.
If the air conditioning has stopped, is tripping the breaker or is leaking water, switch it off and call. Running a system that is iced up, low on refrigerant or electrically faulty is what turns a repair into a replacement.
